Work continues to extinguish fire at Turkiye's Iskenderun port

The fire at the port of Iskenderun in southern Turkiye was contained on Wednesday, allmarinenews informs via TASS.

Earlier, Russia sent a Be-200 amphibious aircraft of its Ministry of Emergency Situations to fight the fire.

On Monday in southern Turkiye, a major fire broke out in the port city of Iskenderun after an earthquake in the Kahramanmaras province.

On February 7, shipping containers continued to burn at the port. According to footage broadcast by local TVs, at least 1,500 containers were affected by the fire.
