New Managing Director Appointed at MGN Bunkering

On September 5, 2025, Emin Sadirov was officially appointed as the Managing Director of MGN Bunkering, a company within GN Group.

In his statement, Sadirov emphasized that this role represents an opportunity to further broaden his international experience while contributing to strengthening the company’s position on the global stage:

“This role is not only about personal growth but also about contributing to the future success of MGN Bunkering,” Sadirov noted.

He also highlighted the valuable contribution of Bunker Trader Elchin Musayev, whose extensive international expertise plays a key role in supporting the company’s growth.

Sadirov’s educational and professional background is firmly rooted in the maritime field. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Engineering from the Azerbaijan State Marine Academy, a Master’s degree in Maritime Law and Policy from the World Maritime University in Sweden, and pursued PhD studies in Ocean Engineering at Texas A&M University (USA), which provided him with advanced knowledge of maritime governance and international legal frameworks.

Throughout his career, he has held roles as Tutor, Leading Laboratory Specialist, and Assistant Professor at the Azerbaijan State Marine Academy, while also gaining international experience at the Johor Port Authority (Malaysia), BIMCO Headquarters (Denmark), the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (Germany), the International Maritime Organization (UK), and Texas A&M University (USA).

As Managing Director, his vision is to position MGN Bunkering as a global leader in sustainable and innovative bunkering solutions, expand into new markets, diversify the company’s fuel portfolio with alternative energy options, and enhance efficiency and transparency through technology.
